Installation Notebook:

Sound installed in N-Scale Kato GS4

This install is not for the faint hearted. It requires a lot of time:

  • Hard wire the motor to the decoder, feeding wires from the loco to the tender.
  • Remove material from the tender weight .
  • Add the SP-14x25-08 speaker to the tender.
  • Modify the light board to allow the SoundTraxx hyper light Mars light to operate the Mars light.
  • Optionally, you may choose to add a backup LED.
