  9. To eliminate the glow in the off LED add these parts:

    2-    Res 1000 ohm @ 1/8W
    2-    Cap 0.10 uF @ 50V

Sound Installed in Proto 2000 GP9

GP9 Cab Speaker

One option for speaker placement in this loco is using a cylindrical enclosure in the cab (after removing the people). Slight sanding and filing of the enclosure makes a fine fit.

Replacing the LifeLike 1.5 volt bulbs with Golden White LEDs is a good move. Soundtraxx does NOT recommend LEDs with LC decoders, as the rear light will glow occasionally as commands are processed. Add the extra parts shown below to remove the glow.
