There are many manufacturers making Digital Command Control components. Litchfield Station works most of them but chooses to focus on certain ones as the "best" option for most our our customers.
Often considered one of the most technically advanced systems, NCE offers
a complete line of Digital Command Control Systems including its very
sophisticated
"Pro Cab" which provides user friendly access to all system
features in a single handheld throttle device. The Pro Cab-R
is the radio equipped version. Another unique feature of the Procab
is a scale-time digital readout to keep all engineers on the ball.
Clubs using scale time often find this to be extremely convenient.
Litchfield Station is a NCE Dealer
The NCE Z scale ready Z14SR is one of the smallest decoders made. It
measures only 0.34" x 0.56" x 0.125", yet can support 1 amp
current. The NCE decoder line offers a variety of decoders to match
popular locomotives.
NCE is not currently offering a line of sound equipped decoders, but many are available from other manufacturers and sound effects can be triggered from the various NCE throttles. Thanks to the NMRA standard most everything works together.
