Welcome to DCC University

Our goal is to provide the information you need to make intelligent choices about DCC versus traditional analog control systems for model railroads.  Further we will highlight the differences in various strategies and products within the DCC world.

Digital Command Control or DCC . . . the words occasionally bring out emotional reactions: fear, concern, awe, loathing, frustration, disgust, etc.!  Why?

Frequently these emotions are based on lack of knowledge. I am convinced that, whatever your model railroad interest, when you give DCC a fair shake, you are gonna love it.

Most folks procrastinate, due to lack of information.

If you are in Arizona, there is a good chance that I can bring a demo kit to your layout and let you try different DCC sets. If you are not, too bad. Perhaps you have a local dealer who can answer your questions. Many mainline train and hobby shops do not speak DCC for the same reasons mentioned above. Frequently, it is the specialty operations, like Litchfield Station, who have the data.
