Description
The 1N4001 diode is rated at 50 PIV (Peak Inverse Voltage). The remainder of the series through 1N4007 are increasingly higher values of PIV. Mr. DCC gets what he can at the best price. They are all the same size, so there is no reason for concern.
Widely used in model railroading for steering current through bulbs and switch machines or protecting bulbs.
